When using an aeration system for winter de-icing, the diffuser needs to be moved from the bottom of the pond to an upper shelf. Save time and hassle by installing a diffuser in both places and switching the air to each using the bypass manifold kit.

This unit is for splitting the air line from a pond aeration pump to two diffusers. This is great for pumping air to two submerged diffusers from one pump. Ideally, this unit is to switch air flow from one diffuser to another in the pond. This would be done in the winter, diverting the flow of air from the diffuser at the deepest part of the pond to a diffuser on a shallow shelf. If the diffuser is left running in the deepest part of the pond, the pond could freeze solid! This unit in conjunction with an extra diffuser provides the easiest way to change where the air comes into the pond without having to get into the pond and physically move the diffuser.
