Spillways and Waterfall Boxes
Waterfall boxes are used to create a uniform sheet of flowing water that is easy to direct and build-up. Waterfall boxes make it easy to construct natural-looking cascades that seem to appear from nowhere. Some boxes are intended as biological filters, containing large voids to be filled with biological media. There beneficial bacteria develop thriving colonies to clean the water that flows through. Other waterfall boxes are only meant to provide an easily disguised spillway to start a pond-less waterfall or additional stream to a pond.
